FIELD TRIP—DUBAI ZOO & JUMEIRAH BEACH

Thursday, 11th March was the day out for the Foundation Stage. The air was charged with excitement as the students boarded the school bus to go to Jumeirah Open Beach and the Dubai zoo.

At the beach, the children enjoyed jogging as it was a pleasant and clear morning. Away from the classroom and out in front of the expanse of the Arabian Gulf, the children enjoyed seeing the union of land and water. It was indeed a very refreshing experience.

And, zoo time, of course, was the most thrilling of all! Excited and awe struck children watched the Lion, Leopard, Giraffe, Fox, Chimpanzee, Gorilla, Peacock, Crocodile, Bear, various kinds of Lizards, Flamingo, Tortoise, Parrots & many more. Children could not believe their eyes when they saw a peacock dancing with its colourful and attractive feathers. The exercise routine by one of the Gorillas is worth a mention. And what entertained the children the most was to watch the other Gorillas join in with the children clapping for the performing Gorilla. The children’s day was made when the Chimpanzee splashed water on them.

By large, it was a very knowledgeable and enjoyable trip as it was packed with loads of fun and many interesting facts and characteristics of the zoo friends to take home.
