Visit to Spinney's and Al Twar Park

The first trip of the academic year for the 3 – 4 year olds was not only enjoyable but educational as well. At Spinneys, the children saw a variety of fruits and vegetables displayed in different sections. They revised the colours and size of the fruits, which they have learnt in their lessons of Knowledge and Understanding of the World and Numeracy. They were very excited to see the display of the mouth watering bakery products.

The children had brought 2 dhm. coins from home, which they spent to buy a packet of juice of their choice.

After visiting Spinneys, the children proceeded to 'Al Twar Park'. As a follow up on the FS 2 assembly presentation, the children were explained that visiting a park regularly is a healthy choice rather than watching television programs at home. They played games and thoroughly enjoyed in the play area, on the swings and slides. Finally, the hungry children ate their snacks and were instructed to throw the trash only in the garbage bins and not leave any trash behind.
