The Zulekha Hospital from the Doctor’s end of the table!

We the students of year 8, 9 and 10 visited the Zulekha Hospital on Saturday, February 12th.

Taking us around the hospital were doctors themselves. We were given an insight into the equipments used, the treatments given to cure different ailments and the facilities offered by the hospital.

We had firsthand experience visiting departments like the Internal Medicine Department, the Pathology Department, the Radiology Department, the Neurology Department and many more.

We were also shown the CT, MRI, ECG and X-ray machines and the technicians explained their use in detail. Furthermore, we visited the labs and got information about how to test blood and urine samples for diabetes and other ailments. Most of our doubts were cleared by the staff of the hospital and some staff also demonstrated the working of some instruments like ultra sound scanners and physiotherapy instruments.

We also saw the hospital kitchen and understood how it caters to the different diets planned for the patients.

The trip was really enriching and we all got to learn a lot. It was an excellent experience for all of us and of course we would like to go on a similar trip once again.
