A different language is a different vision of life. ~Federico Fellini
On the 12th, 13th, & 14th October 2008 I, as an audience, experienced three different visions of life. These three days were dedicated to the 2nd Language – Urdu, Hindi & Special Arabic respectively. These three days not only showed the qualities and the worthiness of the three languages but it also helped the students showcase their talents in various ways.
The first day was conducted by the Urdu department. Students, with their melodious tunes, displayed the importance of environment and how they are taking big steps to help our fellow students think twice before wasting our environment.
The hard work put in by the Hindi department, clearly shone, the day after, as the students not only mixed culture with tradition but also added a bit of humour to make the atmosphere lively.
The Arabic department ruled the last day because as everyone knows Arabic is the national language of our country. The students spoke in fluent Arabic and proved to everyone that they are as good in Arabic as they are with our mother- tongues.
The most unique experience was that, in the end, the students recited the National Anthem of all the three countries, where these languages are national – India, Pakistan & UAE. This proved that whatever place we are from, Aqa Maula TUS has blessed us with his Doa Mubarak and today we, the students, have got an opportunity to study with different nationalities under one roof with the Doa of our Daa’il Mutlaq.
In the end, I would like to add that these three days showed me and all my fellow students, the significance of other languages, their uses and most importantly how we should make it a habit to try out something new!
