The MRP was launched on the 27th of April amongst great fanfare. Students from FS to Yr 9 presented an assemble presentation highlighting the joys of reading. All the students promised to read as they all now know that “ KIDS WHO READ SUCCEED”- Our slogan for MRP!
We had our first DEAR (Drop Everything And Read) time today and it was heartening to see how eager students were to continue reading their favourite book. We will have ten minutes of DEAR time everyday.
The MRP will run from the 27th of April to the 10th of May 2009.We have loads of exciting events lined up during the MRP. There’s a book swap day on Wednesday and in the following week we are planning to have an author in school.
